Built from real-world experience
Eight days of our own agents, in real numbers.
From 1 to 8 October 2026, three agents worked every morning for three of our brands: one looked for brands for a dropshipping network, one for kids’ stores for our children’s clothing brand, and one for merchants with their own inventory for our warehouse software. We count only what our databases recorded.
- 1,106businesses found that passed our checks: a live US online store, a business email from a public source, products that fit
- 1,074first emails sent, in batches of 5 under a daily cap that rises each week
- 41clicks by people; security scanners’ automatic clicks are left out
- 7unsubscribes, all honoured
- 4installs or paying customers from these emails
- 305*opens: a secondary, approximate figure
Figures as of 8 Oct 2026 · *Apple Mail and some scanners open emails on their own, so opens come out inflated. The figures are from our own brands, with no store or person named.
Replies, counted carefully
In the one inbox where we can count replies, our children’s clothing brand’s, nearly all were automatic replies, and one person wrote with a question and got an answer. Replies for the other two brands go to inboxes this count does not include, so we do not publish a reply rate yet.
Opens mislead
There were about seven opens for every click by a person, and in the inbox we can count, far more clicks than replies from people. That is why the StockistScout dashboard leads with qualified stores, positive replies and conversations, and keeps opens as a secondary figure.
The list matters more than volume
Our checks discard many of the stores an agent proposes: personal email addresses, stores outside the US, catalogs that do not fit, or stores we already wrote to. We would rather send fewer and give every email a reason.
